In season 59 the team managed to join its first division 5 race. This was a great achievement but now it is time to improve. Here it is a recap of Giorgio Farabutti's pre-season interview.
"I'm not really happy about last season. Our climbers were often competitive but unfortunately, we simply weren't good enough on hills. It's my fault. I put too much pressure on Gregorio Moreno. Our sextet was too young and we simply needed more time."
"I believed in our youngsters (e.g. Sølvhøj, Widbur and Kelsay) but they didn't integrate well enough. They wanted to leave and so we decided to let them go."
"I felt it was the perfect time to change, so we decided to add experience with Toole, Small and Kabidji."
"We had an empty spot in our hilly sextet. We made huge sacrifices and decided to invest in a new captain, Adérito Almeida. He will be a great mentor for Moreno, they're both Portuguese."
"Our goal for season 60 is pretty simple. We want to be consistent in division 6 and spend as much time as possible in division 5. That's it. Thank you for your time."
